George Lucas contemplated many different casting choices for the original Star Wars, from a cast of only African-Americans to Japanese, to finally… dwarfs! Luke, alongside his aunt and uncle, were at some point planned to be dwarfs. The only remnant of this idea though is Leia’s line: “Aren’t you a little short for a stormtrooper?” when Luke rescues her.
