In Captain America’s origin story, he takes part in an experiment meant to create super soldiers which turned out to be a success. It gave him immense physical strength and agility, but it wasn’t long until the experiment was sabotaged by a Nazi spy that ended up with the Captain being put on ice until he was thawed out by the Avengers.

Multimillionaire Tony Stark -otherwise known as Iron Man – was kidnapped by terrorists that were forcing him to build weapons for them, which ended up with Tony’s heart being punctured by shrapnel. This lead to tony requiring mechanical support for his heart, eventually creating the Iron Man suit!

Thor and his brother Loki were never in great terms. As gods of Asgard though when they squabbled, it wasn’t similar to regular siblings. So, in one of Loki’s most comical ways to get revenge, he turned Thor into a frog!

Russian ballerina turned highly trained assassin; Black Widow was a spy that was relocated to America and started as a villain. After a while, she started working with the Avengers and even struck out a deal with Daredevil!

Infinity war features a major crossover from many different Marvel intellectual properties, but these two comic books – both featuring Thanos leading an attack on Earth – were the baseline for the movie.

Dr. Strange is without a doubt one of the most charismatic personalities in the MCU. Right before his and Iron Man’s fight with Thanos, he mentions that out of the -roughly- 14mil. possible futures, there is only one in which they prevail. The rest of his actions in the movie work towards creating that scenario, including giving over the time stone to Thanos and being erased from existence.

While an important villain in the comic books, Surtur only appears in the opening scene of “Thor: Ragnarok,” in a kickass battle featuring the god of thunder versus a demon hellbent on destroying everything!

In the comic book “The Infinity Gauntlet,” which serves as a base material for the movie “Avengers: Infinity War,” after Thanos snaps his fingers and erases half the population of the galaxy from existence, Nebula eventually acquires the gauntlet and uses it to bring everyone back.

Emil Blowsky, otherwise known as Abomination was a Soviet spy that was exposed to Gamma radiation similar to Bruce Banner, which resulted in him in succeeding a mutation similar to the Hulk. Unlike Bruce though, Emil was unable to return to his original form, alienating himself from his family and losing his sense of self in the process. Blaming the hulk for his fortune, after numerous clashes he ended up going for Bruce’s wife so that he can suffer the same fate as he did.

Marvel studios filed for bankruptcy in 1993, which eventually lead to them selling away the X-Men to Fox Studios, Spider-Man to Sony and eventually selling everything else to Disney. While Sony Entertainment gave special permission for Spider-Man to appear in the Avengers movies, X-Men are no longer a part of the same universe…in a way.

Clint Barton, otherwise known as hawkeye was orphaned at a young age and was left stumbling to find his way on his own. Originally presented as a rival to Iron Man, the talented archer learned his craft while working for a circus.

Chris Evans, portraying the character of Captain America, was playing a role in the movie “Snowpiercer” which made him unable to shave off his beard. So, since the scene was shot long after the rest of the movie was filmed, the crew had to create a prosthetic jaw for Chris to use. This is why he is hiding his face with his fist and is not eating any shwarma during the scene!

From Squidward to Legolas, Iron Man always has a cool nickname for the ones around him. Maybe it’s comic relief, maybe an ode to other movies, who knows…

Tom Holland, the actor that portrays Spider-Man in the Avengers series, is known for being a major spoiler, having accidentally revealed one too many secrets for past Marvel movies in his interviews. Thus, he was given a fake script in order to avoid any leaks.

Robert, portraying the character of Tony Stark, often hid snacks in the set and was seen randomly munching and offering them to his co-stars, all of which were off script but were still kept in the movies.

While getting shots from various parts of the world, the mythical country of Wakanda is not located in an African jungle, but is mostly shot in some parts of Georgia!

The trickster god of Norse mythology and Thor’s brother, Loki has a sceptre which allows him to control other people’s minds, which he uses more than once to turn the Avengers against each other.

The lullaby pretty much consists of the black widow talking calmly to the hulk while maintaining physical contact so that he can turn back to Bruce Banner.

As became evident in Infinity War where the captain was able to make the hammer budge, it became fully obvious that he was “worthy” when he wielded the hammer for the last fight of “Endgame.”

Even though they are two of the founding members of the Avengers, they do not get introduced until later on in the MCU because the screenwriters thought that the movie already had too many characters, so they waited to give them their own movie to be introduced.
